God’s Story: An open Bible study for young adults

Have you been wanting to dive deeper into God’s Word? Perhaps you know the importance of studying the Bible, but have a hard time doing it on you own. Here’s an opportunity to study Scripture with other young adults in a relaxed, non-intrusive setting.

No commitment necessary – just come when you can, as you are.

Calvary's Single Adults Group: Memorial Day Picnic

All Ages and Stages are Invited!

Please join us for our 3rd annual Memorial Day picnic as we gather in remembrance of those who have served our country.

Festivities will include great food and fellowship followed by a concert.

Please bring a potluck picnic item to share (main entrée such as chicken or a casserole, hearty salad, fruits/veggies, or dessert.) Beverages will be provided.

Children are welcome to attend this event. There is a playground and a botanical garden within the park grounds. This is also a great park for lawn games and frisbees so bring them along.

We are unable to reserve tables in advance, but will try to secure several picnic tables by the main building in the back of the park. Look for the red and white tablecloths and red balloons, or call the number below if you are unable to find us. We suggest you bring a lawn chair or blanket for your own comfort, as there are limited picnic tables.

Directions from the 101: Take Moorpark North, turn left on W Gainsborough, then left on Dover. The park is at the end of Dover/Hendrix.

Directions from the 23: Head West on Janss. Go left on Moorpark, turn right on W Gainsborough, and then turn left on Dover. The park is at the end of Dover/Hendrix.

There are three small parking lots within the park. However, they fill up fast during the concert series. Therefore, we suggest you arrive by 4:00 p.m. Otherwise, on-street parking is available in the residential areas, which are just a short walk from the park.

On Sunday May, 17 the drama team at Bel Air Presbyterian chuch are presenting a comedy show.

In this a modern-day adaptation of the story of Job, a Long Island tycoon is visited by a messenger from God and suddenly finds that everything becomes a test of his faith! The show is at 2:00pm; however we’re meeting at 1:30pm to get first come-first serve seats. You’re also welcome to join us at 12:00pm for lunch at Panera at Janss Marketplace, which is down the road from the theater. Wildwood Walk and Picnic Lunch ~ Sunday, April 26th at 1pm (Wildwood Parking Lot)Join us for some fresh springtime air! After the 11am service, we are picking up food (or you can bring a sack lunch) and meeting in the parking lot of Wildwood Park (located at the western end of Avenida de Los Arboles). Then we’ll go to the tepee to have a picnic lunch and walk through the beautiful trails to the waterfall!
